Webinar resources on the proposed registration standards now available

07 Mar 2018

On Tuesday 6 February we ran a one-hour webinar on the proposed registration standards all paramedics will have to meet to practise in Australia later this year.

These include:

  • English language skills
  • criminal history
  • continuing professional development
  • professional indemnity insurance arrangements
  • recency of practice, and
  • grandparenting arrangements.

Run by Board Chair Stephen Gough ASM and practitioner Board members Angela Wright and Clare Beech, the webinar explained what it means to be a registered paramedic under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law and outlined the requirements for each of these proposed registration standards.

If you were unable to attend, a recording of the webinar is now available below, as is a FAQ page on the registration standards  to help answer questions raised during the webinar.

If you have further questions about the registration standards or the implementation of paramedicine under the National Scheme please email paramedicine@ahpra.gov.au.
